What’s in Store for the Second Half of the Year?

I’ll share what’s on my radar for the second half of 2026, and then I’d love to hear what’s on yours.

Believe it or not, we’re already halfway through 2026.

Somehow, summer arrived, the calendar kept moving, and here we are staring at the second half of the year.

Which naturally leads to one question…

So…Now What?

Last week, I spent some time reflecting on the first half of 2026.

The travel.

The speeches.

The lessons.

The mistakes.

The mistakes that came disguised as lessons.

The lessons that arrived because of mistakes.

You know…growth.

Reflection is important. It’s how we appreciate progress, identify patterns, and realize how far we’ve come.

But eventually, reflection moves us toward action.

I’ll share what’s on my radar for the second half of 2026, and then I’d love to hear what’s on yours.

Finishing the Next Book

One of my biggest goals is finishing my next book.

It’s focused on leaders, teams, and a simple idea I’ve become increasingly obsessed with:

How we show up matters.

Culture is how people show up every day.

It’s created through the attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs people bring into everyday interactions.

Show up well.

Create good ripple effect.

The Show Up Advantage™

The more I speak, coach, write, research, and learn, the more convinced I become that most challenges eventually lead back to one question:

How are we choosing to show up?

As leaders.

As teammates.

As parents.

As friends.

As drivers navigating construction season without losing our minds.

You’ll see me continue developing The Show Up Advantage™ through videos, worksheets, tools, stories, and probably a few experiments that seemed like a great idea at the time.

Living in the Lab

This summer I’ll begin my second PhD course on followership, a topic that reminds us leadership isn’t just about leading. It’s also about supporting a vision, contributing to a team, and influencing outcomes without needing a title.

The best leaders are often great followers, too.

I’ll also keep experimenting with short videos, sharing practical resources, and testing new ideas.

Because perfection is impossible.

Iteration is where the magic happens.

And you know I have a jam-packed Joy Calendar filled with bite-sized moments like walks, music, good food, and time with people I enjoy.

But there are a few YOLO-sized adventures on there too.

Anyone else checking flight prices like it’s a part-time job?

What’s Ahead

Beyond that, here are a few things I’ll be chasing during the second half of the year:

  • Finish the book (you already know this).
  • Launch new Show Up Advantage™ resources.
  • Plan Season Three of the Have Good Ripple Effect podcast.
  • Get more disciplined about business metrics and analytics (I’ve been nerding out on the data).
  • Grow our new monthly coffee meetup here in Iowa (let me know if you’d like an invite).
  • Create a few meaningful collaborations.
  • Continue getting a little better every month.

None of these goals are particularly flashy.

They’re simply small actions that, over time, become something bigger.

Which is probably the lesson I keep learning over and over again.

Progress is consistency in disguise.

So…now what?

We keep showing up.

More learning.

More experiments.

More mistakes worth making.

More opportunities to create good ripple effect.

I’d love to hear what you’re building, learning, chasing, or letting go of during the second half of 2026.

And if you’re laying low, slowing down, or finding a little more space to breathe, let me know that too.

That’s always worth celebrating!

I’m cheering for you.

Have Good Ripple Effect,
Lisa
