Like a scientist, I observed, tweaked in the "lab," and kept moving forward.
A friend once told me, "If you aren't failing, then you aren't stretching yourself enough."
I now freely permit myself to experiment.
That's how Rising Tides started!
I saw potential and thought it might work, so I took a risk and made the first one a little experiment.
Like a scientist, I observed, tweaked in the "lab," and kept moving forward.
It could have been a total flop! But I gave it a chance to blow up (like a mad scientist) because otherwise, I wouldn't know if it worked.
Sometimes, before we step out and do something new, we want to make sure it will be successful. It feels wise and safer to do it this way…
Instead, it can paralyze us and remove opportunities to learn and grow. How can you start small, experiment, and test the waters (at home and work)?
So, instead of going over what you need to do to "be 100% ready," explore ways to start now and experiment so that you can fail without guilt.
Failing small allows you to move forward.
