Maybe you're asking, "Yes! I agree, but Lisa, how do we build culture and create more joy in the workplace?

Well, joy in work is about being connected with what you do and why you do it. It's the feeling of success and fulfillment from doing work that matters. It connects us through our shared sense of purpose.

Sounds good, right? How do we get there?

West Central Community Action has served Southwest Iowa counties for over 55 years through various self-sufficiency programs. Central Community Action belongs to a collective of Community Action Agencies, non-profit private and public organizations established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America's War on Poverty. Community Action Agencies help people to help themselves achieve self-sufficiency within their community. Community Action Agencies (CAAs) service areas cover 96 percent of the nation's counties.
