When worlds collide…
I never played football (I know, big surprise), but it’s on my mind this week because my husband’s high school football team is being recognized this weekend for winning state 20 years ago. (Are we really that old?)
Our high schools were actually rivals, so if we’d met back then, who knows how things might have turned out? But life had other plans, and eventually, in college, our worlds collided. And from that collision? The Even Family was born.
Today, I had another “collide moment.”
I attended the Midwest Speakers Bureau, Inc. 2024 Showcase, where speakers share 12 minutes of their keynote speeches—a great opportunity for event planners to experience speakers firsthand. I also got to cheer on three fellow ImpactEleven speakers Dan Chuparkoff, Justin Wren, Danny Goldberg. Impact Eleven is a community that’s taught me so much about the business of speaking and has given me camaraderie in this unique industry.
It was one of those “never say never” moments… You never know when your worlds will collide. I’m taking inspiration, advice, and momentum from the other speakers, knowing we all want to Happen to the World, Not the Other Way Around.
