JOY is my job, is the absolute best way to look at the world. If you wait around for JOY to find you, you will be waiting a very long time. It’s your job to look for it, chase it, and create it….remember that you get to happen to the world, not the other way around.
Flexible persistence pays off!
I sat down this morning with a cup of coffee, the feedback forms from my recent trip to Connecticut, and the cell phone pictures (love a good picture collage).
I smiled when I saw the two emerging themes from my presentation that folks took away most (aside from creating a good ripple effect, of course). They were:
- JOY is my J-O-B
- Flexible persistence pays off
JOY is my job, is the absolute best way to look at the world. If you wait around for JOY to find you, you will be waiting a very long time. It’s your job to look for it, chase it, and create it….remember that you get to happen to the world, not the other way around.
And, if you go on a road trip to Texas and come across a road closed sign, you do not turn around and go home…you find another way…because flexible persistence pays off! This is true for most things in life.
Whether your week ahead is crazy busy or quiet and calm, I wish you lots of JOY and invite you to be flexibly persistent with it all.
The WICT Network - New England Chapter – Thanks again for such a memorable speaking experience. I already added to Connecticut to my families JOY calendar, we’ll be back!
