"Every big moment requires thousands of small actions."

I came across a quote that stopped me in my tracks:

"Every big moment requires thousands of small actions."

It’s not the big moments we should hope for—it’s the courage to show up and do the small stuff.

LEADERSHIP

This made me reflect on leadership and life. In leadership, it can feel like no one is watching or noticing the effort. But if we break our days into tiny, bite-sized pieces, there are countless opportunities to influence culture and shape teams.

It’s in the small, consistent actions:

  • The presence you bring to interactions.

  • The connection you foster with individual team members.

  • The engagement activities you plan.

  • How you approach turbulent changes.

These are the moments that truly matter.

LIFE

The same goes for personal goals. Maybe you dream of starting a business, writing a book, or traveling somewhere incredible. I’ve found that when I let my mind dream big, the key is asking myself one question before I’m done dreaming:

"If this were real, what are the next three things I could do to make it happen?"

Most often, it’s just about convincing myself to take those first small steps. Do a bit of research online. Talk about the idea with a friend. Fill out the paperwork. Create the website. Just go.

Small actions, done consistently, stack up to create something extraordinary.

So, here’s your nudge: What’s one small action you can take today toward something that matters to you?
