Ever felt like you're not progressing fast enough or that others are way ahead of you?

I wanted to share something that's been on my mind lately – Comparisonitis.

Ever felt like you're not progressing fast enough or that others are way ahead of you?

It's especially common in the keynote speaking and coaching world to be asked questions like, "How long have you been doing this?" Or, “How many events did you book last year?” Or, “How many coaching clients do you have?” These questions can be scary and create self-doubt…for me, they make me pause and feel a bit sweaty.

But here's a mindset shift that has helped me immensely: compare to learn.

Instead of feeling inadequate for any length of time, I remind myself that I can learn from those who are ahead of me. There are bits of knowledge and wisdom that they possess, why not soak it all in?

I shift my brain to be curious and open, knowing that each person's journey is unique, and there is value in cheering others on and learning from their experiences.

Progress looks different for everyone.

What are you growing towards? Have you ever felt this way?
