Raise your hand if you've had the experience of transitioning from 'buddy to boss'

The journey of moving from peer to leader may not be an easy one, but it's definitely worth it. Keep going!

Raise your hand if you've had the experience of transitioning from 'buddy to boss'

This morning I facilitated a four-hour course, for leaders in manufacturing, related to moving from front-line to a leader role. We talked about the importance of developing a leadership style, building relationships, team culture, and giving feedback.

During our time together, we hit on the importance of:

1. Understanding how to build relationships and connection

2. How to set expectations and hold people accountable

3. The three types of feedback (appreciation, coaching, evaluation) and how to hold those conversations

4. How to manage stress and identify triggers

The journey of moving from peer to leader may not be an easy one, but it's definitely worth it. Keep going! Have a good ripple effect!
